Our goal
We aim to align this website with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 Level AA. We are not claiming formal certification or a completed third-party audit — accessibility is ongoing work, and we would rather describe what is actually in place than overstate it.
What has been implemented
The following measures are built into this site today:
- Semantic HTML structure with header, navigation, main and footer landmarks, and one main landmark per page
- A single, descriptive level-one heading on every page, with logical heading nesting beneath it
- Descriptive alternative text on every meaningful image, and decorative graphics hidden from screen readers
- A skip-to-content link that appears when you press Tab from the top of the page
- Full keyboard operability with visible focus outlines on every link, button and form field
- Text and interface colors checked against WCAG AA contrast ratios on our deep purple and gold palette
- Accessible names on icon-only controls, such as the mobile menu button and the language switcher
- Form fields paired with visible labels, clear required-field marking and error messages announced to assistive technology
- A responsive layout that reflows without horizontal scrolling and supports browser zoom
- Full English and Spanish translations, with the page language attribute updated when you switch
Known limitations
The photography on this site is representative stock imagery rather than photographs of our own work; it will be replaced with real project photos, each with its own descriptive alternative text. We have not yet completed testing with every screen reader and browser combination.
